We live in a large two story 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home, with separate living and dining areas. We also have large back deck for BBQ's and entertaining. The student room upstairs is a large twin room, with two desks, built in wardrobe and share bathroom. Downstairs is a fully self contained unit for two students or a couple travelling together. We also have a very gentle and sweet natured greyhound called Sally, who shares my youngest son's room/bed. We have a reasonably busy home life and enjoy showing off our beautiful city to our homestay students. You can join us on trips to the beach and other outings, and I am an excellent chef so you won't be hungry if you choose to join us for evening meals during your stay. And yes I own a rice cooker for all those people from countries who eat rice every meal.

We are 15 mins south of the city (by car), 5 min walk to city express bus stop and 15 min walk to Gold Coast/Brisbane city train. Sunnybank Plaza, Sunny Park Shopping Centre and Market Square are only a short walk, and also many parks and sporting clubs are also within walking distance. Sunnybank is a vibrant and colourful suburb situated at the "heart of the Dragon", and has a large predominantly Chinese and Taiwanese population. Sunnybank is also commonly referred to as Little China and we are lucky enough to have an endless choice of restaurants offering food from many different Asian cultures.
