Situated 1 km from the M50 motorway which is an orbital motorway in the shape of the letter 'C'. It connects to all main routes in Ireland from Belfast to Wexford, to Sligo, Mayo-Galway and Kerry and Cork.
Our home could not be better placed. Less than 15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport, 20 minutes on a bus to the heart of Dublin City Centre featuring the best Dublin has to offer. So we are not too close to the hustle and bustle of a very active and vibrant City but at the same time, we are conveniently situated to it all.
The following bus routes serve our home, the bus stop being literally 2 minutes from our front door, and all bring you directly through the heart of Dublin City Centre;
37/38/38A/38B/39/39A/70 and 122. (See 70D below)
NOTE: Route 39A goes directly through the City onto the UCD campus via Trinity College and numerous other colleges in the City.
Route 70D goes directly to DCU campus from our home but does not travel through the City.

Maybe you would like to travel on a daily tour to see Ireland, be it the west coast or up North. We can arrange all these tours for you so please let us know as early booking is essential.
Dublin is said to be the best place in the world to learn English so for the younger student wishing to fit into a family and learn the lingo, we are just perfect. For those parents concerned about sending over their loved ones to us, I know how it feels. I have young kids too so we certainly give the younger guest a lot more attention.
We also offer the student their own direct phone line and own phone number (Twin room option only) so the concerned family can call them at any time. This is a separate number to the family number and unique to the student or visitor who can take calls in private. Again not many offer this option.
Similarly Wifi or cable broadband is unique to the room of the visitor and separate from that of the family broadband meaning a more reliable connection with the fastest speeds available in Dublin (Twin room only). Wireless connection is available throughout the home.

Feel like just going for a cycle, 3 bikes are available for free at any time and with the Phoenix Park a few minutes cycle away, it's a perfect location to get away and chill out.
House recently upgraded with new electrical fit out throughout the house, new windows everywhere, newly painted, new smart eco water system, new smart heating radiators and zones.
The house also has CO2 alarms in each room along with linked smoke alarms in each room. Once the alarm sounds in one room, it sounds in all rooms. Nest smart smoke detectors send alarm signal direct to phone and updates are advised regularly. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket located in each room.
Home is also protected with a new smart house alarm system which has external monitoring via CCTV and when activated both the external alarm company and the owners are immediately notified.
This house has 6 bedrooms. All usual family mod cons available. Perfect for the younger student who will have access to everything our own children have access to and with 5 children ranging from ages 9-21, they have access to a lot of great things including bikes, PS3/PS4/XBOX360/XBOX1.
Great family days out in the Phoenix Park, 5 minutes walk away, are a regular type outing for our family and some of the best moments in our family's life have been captured in this magnificent park.
Young students will, of course, be most welcome in our day to day activities and encouraged to join in whatever we do, both during the week and during the weekend and during holiday times. Student family members are more than welcome to visit our home at any time should they desire.
Our home has an Ecowater system throughout which is an intelligent water technology meaning elimination of the use of harmful compounds that most homes in Dublin and Ireland have. Ecowater guarantees to remove 100% limescale from the home.
Great for the skin and body leaving a smooth feel all around.
To complement this system we have an Ecowater Reverse Osmosis system which is a technology that is used to remove a large majority of contaminants from water by pushing the water under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane so our guests can enjoy great tasting water (CHLORINE, FLUORIDE & LEAD-FREE WATER).
LINEN / WASHING ETC.: All bed clothes/linen etc are of course provided
Washing machine and dryer are available for use in the home.
KITCHEN: Brand new kitchen installed October 2018. Use of the oven and hob is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. If you wish to prepare some food, please ensure that the host is present. However, you are welcome to use the microwave and fridge at all times.
MEALS: - If a guest wishes for full board, the price is €12 per day which includes a light breakfast (already included), packed lunch and dinner. 2017.
COLLECTION / DROP OFF - Our price is set at €30 each way or €60 return and it doesn't matter how long it takes in traffic to get you to our home. This price is about 30% cheaper than a taxi trip to our home. Please advise us as early as possible if you require pickup and/or drop-off. This price is for two people.
We can also pick you up anywhere you choose. For prices please advise us of your chosen pick-up point.
PARKING: Brand new paving in the front garden, enough space for 4 cars. Parking is available on request.
STUDENTS: For all students under 21 years of age we offer a 10% discount on all prices. Please make sure to advise me in the chat box of Homestay that you are a student under 21 years of age so the discount can be offered.
YOUNG VISITORS: From abroad wishing to stay with an Irish family to learn English can also avail of a 10% discount on all our prices. Please inform us in the chat box before booking.
PAYPAL - On booking, you will receive a PayPal invoice with a payment due date stated on it so please ensure to note this pay by date. Payment in full is required prior to arrival and on the date that is shown on the PayPal invoice, as is normal. Other options, of course, can be arranged directly with us should you wish. Please finalise and complete your booking by making the balancing payment by the due date. PayPal is an easy, fast and convenient way for all to pay and It is also very safe and no need for you to exchange bank account details or credit card details with us.
Our refund policy is:
100% refund if cancelled prior to 30 days of arrival.
50% refund if cancelled prior to 14 days of arrival but within 30 days of arrival.
No refund if cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
Please note that no refunds are made where a discount has been applied to your booking.
