Staying in Katrina's house was a nightmare and a hell.

I stayed her house with my 4years old child, but I strongly regret booking.

First of all, her house is messy and dirty. Some food in the fridge get moldy and rotten.
”Carbonara” she made tastes bad. Should avoid getting the meal there. The area she lives is unsafe. Really far from central of London.

Most of all, I exeperienced a hell as below.

She required me to pay ￡850 (whole accomodation fee for 5 nights) in cash on arraival day though she did not mention about the way to pay or the timing to pay.
I told her that I did not have whole of ￡850 in cash at that time(I travelled with my small son for long way). Then she took us to a cash dispenser in the unknown town by a car and forced me to withdraw 850 pounds immediately and pass her ￡850 in front of the cash dispenser.

I withdrew money, but I felt her behaivior was strange. So, I told her that I would like to pay, but giving such amout of money to you outside is not appropriate and also let me check the detail of booking at your house (because I did not had the SIM and could not connect the internet outside, so I needed to go back her house to check homestay.com page etc.).

Then she cried "Get out! Get the hotel" and left suddenly. I did not know where there was and could not connect to the internet, but got the taxi to go to her house.
She denied us to enter her house and kept holding our passport and belongings.

After all, the last way for us to get other hotel and go to the police. The police called her, but she continued requiring me to pay whole acoomodation fee even though I stayed just one night. Finally, I suceeded in getting my passport and belongings by paying ￡500 to her. However, although I asked her to give me our belongings and passports as soon as possible, she denied that due to warking with her dogs. My Apple divice which was in my suitcase is missing.

It was nightmare.

I stayed in the home of Katrina and her children for one year while I studied at London and I can recommend her very sincerely. Katrina was a kind and thoughtful host who always made the time for me which helped me a lot while I settle in to my life in London. She has come to see me in Istanbul after this together with her children and it was my great pleasure to host them here. Katrina's home is cosy and decorated tastefully and it is easy to get everywhere from this area. Katrina also cooks nice food and I enjoyed very much our dinner together and talking. I hope I can visit again soon!
