A 3 minute walk to the bus stop. Many buses to the nearby subway. We live about 40 meters above Lake Ontario. The surroundings are very natural with many birds and other wildlife. The library and shops are within walking distance (5-10 minutes). As well as a recreation center with a indoor pool, sauna, hot therapeutic baths, and a water slide. A hockey and skating arena and outdoor playing field is there too. The beaches and bluffs are also closeby. Rosetta MaClean Garden is a favorite spot closeby.

Dear Mom,
I have been in Toronto 3 months. When I just arrived in Canada, I have a lot of afraid. But my homestay couple gave me some help and looked after me. Ms. Chris helped me to wash my clothes and made some delicious food for me. Then tells me some knowledge of life. She is like a mom the way she looks after me.
When I meet with difficulties the hosts can help me solve the problem. In this homestay it feels like home. My heart is very warm. With the help of both of them I gradually adapt to life here in Canada.
In my new school I know some new classmates and teachers. The classmates always give me some help and teachers give me some encouragement. I have enough confidence to apply myself to study.
In these months, I have been affected by Canada's culture. It is my pleasure to have a chance to come here and study and live. I think this experience is important in my life.
Mother you can rest assured I will study hard and enter a well-known university. You should take care of yourself.
